Introduction

Simple Kids Games (simplekidsgames.com) is a free, ad-free browser game site for kids. We take privacy seriously, especially because our audience includes children.

Information We Collect

We do not ask for personal information. There are no accounts, emails, player-entered names, chat, advertising profiles, or behavior tracking.

Simple Kids Adventure has one narrow exception for its shared leaderboard. When an adventure begins, the service creates a short-lived technical run record containing a game-generated nickname, a one-way ticket digest, the game and rules versions, and issue/expiry times. When the run ends, the game automatically attempts to share only the level and total XP reached, active play time, and those versions. Players cannot type a name or message into the leaderboard, and the generated nickname is not an account.

Cookies and Local Storage

Simple Kids Games itself does not set cookies. Ordinary in-game leaderboard requests explicitly omit browser credentials, so gameplay does not send cookies to the leaderboard. Hosting and security providers may set strictly necessary technical cookies if someone visits the Hall of Heroes service directly; those cookies support delivery and abuse prevention, not advertising or behavior tracking.

We use your browser's localStorage to save ordinary game progress such as campaign level, high scores, and preferences. That local save data is not uploaded by the games.

The optional Save Code feature on our home page packs that same progress into a code you can copy and paste yourself — for backing up or moving progress to another device. We never see, upload, or store save codes; they exist only where you keep them.

The Simple Kids Adventure leaderboard record described above is separate from local game progress. Its short-lived one-use submission ticket is kept only for the current browser tab, is never included in a Save Code, and is discarded when the tab closes or the ticket expires.

Simple Kids Adventure Leaderboard

Leaderboard scores are hosted through ChatGPT Sites and are scheduled for automatic deletion once they are 30 days old. The leaderboard stores only the generated alias and the limited run facts listed above. It does not store a raw IP address, name, email address, chat message, account, precise location, device contact, or advertising identifier.

For basic abuse prevention, the leaderboard service immediately converts the network address seen when a run starts or a score is sent into a one-way daily network hash. The application never writes the raw network address to its database. Only the rotating hash and short-lived rate-limit counters are stored, and they are scheduled for automatic deletion after 48 hours. They are not shown on the leaderboard or used to follow a player across games.

The automatic leaderboard attempt is one-way and nonblocking. If the device is offline, the service is unavailable, or a submission is rejected, the run still completes normally, local progress is still saved, and the player can immediately keep playing.

Services That Make the Site Work

Like almost every website, a basic hosting service is involved in delivering the pages: our host (Vercel) serves the site's files and, like any web server, may keep standard technical logs to run and secure the service. ChatGPT Sites hosts the limited Simple Kids Adventure leaderboard described above. Game fonts and artwork are served by Simple Kids Games itself; the games do not request fonts from Google. We do not use hosting logs or leaderboard records to identify or track players.

Analytics and Tracking

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking tools. We do not track your behavior.

Advertising

There are no ads on Simple Kids Games. We do not partner with advertisers or ad networks.

Third-Party Links

For grown-ups who choose to support the project, our site contains a link to Buy Me a Coffee (external site) for optional donations. This external site has its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for its practices.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Simple Kids Games is designed for children. The games do not ask children or adults for personal information. The Simple Kids Adventure leaderboard accepts only limited gameplay and technical records plus a game-generated alias, never child-entered identity or communication. Anonymous leaderboard records are automatically deleted after 30 days.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change how this site works in a way that affects privacy, we will update this page.
